The Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists have published an  information paper on the Role of the  Pharmacy Technician in order to help define the existing and potential roles that pharmacy technicians play to facilitate the maximization of pharmacists' participation in direct patient care.

Hospital Pharmacist Shortage

CSHP BC Branch took action to address the hospital pharmacist shortage in BC:

 

In order to quantify the hospital pharmacist shortage in British Columbia, CSHP BC Branch conducted a survey of all hospital pharmacies within the province.

 

Find out the results of the "Hospital Pharmacist Shortage Survey."

 

A letter along with the survey results was sent to the Health Sciences Association and the Health Employers Association of British Columbia on January 31, 2001.
