  • This position is APPOINTED by the President and the Student Membership Coordinator acts as a non-voting member of the BC Branch Executive.



Terms of Reference

.

The Student Membership Coordinator will:

  1. Assume responsibility for the "Terms of Reference" of the Position

  2. Attend CSHP-BC Branch monthly meetings for the term of 22 months as:

  1. Junior Rep from March to December

  2. Senior Rep from January to December

  1. Attend CAPSI weekly meetings.

  2. Bring forth to CSHP-BC Branch Council queries from pharmacy students.      

  3. Provide suggestions to improve student involvement with CSHP.

  4. Liaise with UBC Year Book committee during August/September regarding CSHP’s Ad in the yearbook.

Duties:

  1. Coordinate the Mentorship Program by recruiting mentors and students, pairing them up, and encouraging visitations.  Organize a Meet Your Mentor event in Term 1 or a Mentorship wrap-up in Term 2.

  2. Coordinate lunch lectures on selected topics in hospital pharmacy with the support of the CSHP President-Elect.

  3. Coordinate annual CAPSI-CSHP Symposium with the support of the CAPSI Senior Representative.

  4. Promote membership by advertising CSHP events and providing information to students at CSHP events, Pharmacy Awareness Week, and Hospital Residency Info Night.

  5. Write an annual report with support from the CAPSI senior representative on the year’s activities prior to the AGM.

  6. Contribute to the winter and Summer Newsletter, outlining events occurring in the past month and thanking the mentors in the summer newsletter.

  7. Coordinate mail-outs requested by Executive Council in addition to seasonal Newsletters.
