Fundraising Chair..

 

  

  • This position is appointed by the President and the Fundraising Chair acts as a non-voting member of the BC Branch Executive. 

 



Terms of Reference

 

    The Chair will:

  1. Assume responsibility for the "Terms of Reference".
  2. Review the recommendations from the previous year's Chair.
  3. Sit as a member on BC Branch Executive Council and Programs Committee.
  4. Attend the Branch Annual General Meeting and all corresponding meetings to which this position sits.
  5. Provide the Executive Committee and Programs Committee with progress reports at each of their respective meetings (e.g. monies received, monies promised).
  6. Liaise with Manufacturer Representatives, Awards Chair, Communications Officer, Programs Chair and Treasurer.
  7. Assist the incoming Chair, with respect to responsibilities, when the term of office is completed.
  8. As outgoing Chair, thank members for their service on the committee and notify them a new committee will be established for the coming year.

    Duties:

  1. Maintain levels of sponsorship and terms of sponsorship.
  2. Maintain sponsorship letter.
  3. Solicit funds from companies, including follow up.
  4. Maintain fundraising database.
  5. Distribute copy of fundraising database to Programs Chair and President, Vision Portfolio quarterly.
  6. Send a “Thank You” correspondence upon receipt of sponsorship.
  7. Liaise with Awards Chair to determine how best to negotiate with Award Sponsors.
  8. Forward cheques received to Treasurer.
  9. Liaise with Programs Chair to update event sponsorship recognition.
  10. Liaise with Communications Officer to update sponsorship recognition.
  11. Submit a “Fundraising Update” for the quarterly Branch Newsletter.
