PURPOSE
The purpose of this
award is to help pharmacists attend pharmacy related conferences, programs
and educational seminars that hospitals may not normally be able to fund.
AWARD
DESCRIPTION
Four separate cash
awards of $500 each will be available to fund travel/education expenses for four
different recipients. These funds can be used towards any aspect of travel or
expense associated with an educational event (including hotel, registration, and
taxi). This award will be awarded annually, provided funding is obtained.
ELIGIBILITY/APPLICATION
DEADLINE
Applicants must be a member in good standing. All travel must be
completed by the end of February 2009 and be used toward an
educational event. If the award cannot be used by the
recipient, the award is forfeited. The application deadline is March
31, 2008.
SELECTION
CRITERIA
A random draw
conducted by the Awards Committee will determine the winners, in June 2007.
AWARD
PRESENTATION
Winners
will be notified immediately after the draw in order for them to be able to make
decisions about upcoming travel. The cash award of $500 will be given to each of
the winning recipients upon providing the awards chair with proof of
travel/educational expenses dated within the calendar year of the award.
