PURPOSE
The purpose of this award is to recognize excellency in pharmacy poster presentation at the B.C. Branch Annual General Meeting.

AWARD DESCRIPTION
The award will consist of a plaque engraved with all investigators’ names and a cash prize of $250.

ELIGIBILITY
The poster presenter must be a C.S.H.P. member, and can either be the primary investigator or one of the authors of the poster. Posters must be submitted under one category entitled "Pharmacy Practice". This encompasses clinical research, pharmaceutics/basic research, case reports, innovative pharmacy practice, administrative topics, pharmacoeconomics and drug use evaluation.
Material previously presented at a national CSHP or non-CSHP event is eligible for submission. In this case, please indicate that it is an encore presentation on the poster/abstract. Material previously presented at a BC Branch CSHP event (i.e., residency project) is not eligible for submission.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Members of the Awards Committee or delegates appointed by the Committee Chair will select the best poster presentation. Judging criteria will be based on practicality (timeliness, contribution to the advancement of pharmacy practice, and applicability of methodology to other hospitals), clarity (ability to communicate information, and ease of understanding by the viewer), and technical presentation (format, style, grammar, visuals). As well, all posters will be evaluated for originality, realistic objectives, meaningful conclusions and potential usefulness to other hospitals. (Appendix)
